Activities within a ten minute drive:

Wine tours and tastings ( five wineries ), two golf courses and a driving range, hot air ballooning, Halswell Quarry Park and botanical garden, Kennedy's Bush Port Hills walkway, Riccarton and Addington horse racing tracks, Halswell Village shops.

Also eight restaurants, air force museum, vintage DC3 scenic flights, Riccarton market, Lincoln University, Westpac Entertainment Centre, A and P showgrounds.

Day Trips:

Hanmer Thermal Springs, Kaikoura whale watch, Trans Alpine Scenic Rail to west coast and return, high country and canterbury rivers trout fishing, Akaroa French village, 25 golf courses, Arthurs Pass alpine village, Lyttelton Harbour Dolphin cruise and numerous walkways. Six Canterbury ski fields, within 1.5 hours drive.

Rob's Guided Walking Tours

In and around Christchurch or further afield. Tailor made to suit your requirements and fitness levels.
Example: a half day crater rim walk on the Port Hills with wonderful views of the harbour and plains. Tussock Hills with pockets of native bush. $150 per group of up to 2 persons including GST. Morning tea at the sign of the Kiwi and transport.

Rob is also available to arrange and guide either walking style hikes or serious back country hiking trips including a traverse of the Southern Alps!
